Craig Y Nos Wedding Photographer

Brecon, Swansea, South Wales Wedding Photographer

If you’re getting married in Brecon, and looking for a Castle to be married in, I can certainly recommend Craig Y Nos Castle, since starting my photography business in 2012, where I photographed one of my first weddings, and also one of my first same sex weddings, I’ve had the pleasure to document many weddings here since then.

The theater is absolutely gorgeous for a ceremony, as well as portraits and group shots when you want to stay indoors.  The conservatory lets so much natural light in, it’s perfect for your wedding breakfast and photographing speeches.  Not to mention the heated floor which keeps us all warm!

The grounds are beautiful too, with so many places to get that perfect wedding photograph that will hang on your wall.  The country park is just next door if you fancy a walk for some more photos too!  Make sure you pop down to the venue to take a quick look, I’m sure you’ll love it!

See below for examples of wedding I’ve documented at Craig Y Nos Castle.  Get in touch if you’d like to view some more images from wedding at Craig Y Nos, or any other wedding venue here in South Wales!

What happens when it rains at my wedding at Craig Y Nos Castle?

Having photographed many weddings at this gorgeous South Wales wedding venue, I have no doubt that I’ve obtained my wedding awards from weddings here!

So I’ve done many weddings here in the rain, if you absolutely don’t want to get wet, that’s ok with me. The staff would clear out the theatre for us to have our group photos. Or, if you fancy it, we could always have the group photos at the floor just above where the first dance is held.

Photography wise, the light isn’t that good inside, which is why I bring my own studio lights with me.

Craig Y Nos Castle’s interior is stunning, it’s on the darker side too, which suits my stype of creative wedding photography to a tea!

If it’s still raining at night, we can pop outside with an umbrella, to get a shoto of my well known umbrella shot! But if you still don’t want to go outside, I have a few tricks up my sleeve to get you a rain shot without going outside!

I cannot recommend Ed enough. His work is majestic, beautiful and so elegant. He is always professional, kind and makes you feel so comfortable. My wedding day was made extra special by Ed capturing it perfectly. He is fabulous to work with and really would consider him part of our family. The most incredible photographer and amazing person.

Where to go for photos at Craig Y Nos?

So we’ve covered photo locations on a rainy day, how about when it’s sunny or dry at Craig Y Nos?

If you’re happy to venture out. make sure you factor extra time when you’re planning your wedding, as we wouldn’t want your guests seated at the wedding breakfast and the newlyweds are nowhere to be seen!

Craig Y Nos Country Park is litereally next to the castle, although it’s probably a 10 minute walk, it’s a pictureque walk, and we can get some photos on the way, so we’ll be there before you know it!

South Wales has some of the most beautiful places around UK, with Craig Y Nos situated at the edge of Brecon, it makes for stunning wedding photography!
